Join me for a complimentary 30-minute consultation where we’ll get to know each other and discuss the essentials of your upcoming birth. This introductory session is an opportunity for you to share your due date, planned hospital, and details about your healthcare providers, as well as any specific preferences or concerns you have. I’ll use this time to understand your unique needs and expectations, ensuring that our support is perfectly aligned with your birth plan. This brief, informal meeting is designed to set a strong foundation for a supportive and personalized experience as you prepare for your baby's arrival.
Dive deeper into planning your birth with a comprehensive consultation designed to help you create a solid and personalized birth plan. In this detailed session, we’ll explore the wide range of options available to you for delivery, discussing everything from pain management choices and birthing positions to hospital protocols and support preferences. I’ll provide answers to your questions and offer tailored solutions to address your specific concerns and desires. By the end of our meeting, you’ll have a well-defined birth plan that reflects your vision and prepares you for a confident, empowered birth experience. Let’s work together to ensure every detail is considered and your preferences are clearly communicated to your birth team.
I offer personalized breastfeeding support sessions to ensure you and your baby have a smooth and empowering start. I return to your home when your milk comes in and help you nurse your baby comfortably, answering any concerns you may have about breastfeeding, and giving you referrals to breastfeeding specialists if you need advanced help.
On your baby’s birth day, I’ll be there whenever you need me, ready to provide the support you’ve planned for and discussed. Whether you’ve chosen to give birth at home, in a birthing center, or at the hospital, I will arrive according to your preferences to ensure everything goes smoothly. My role is to offer continuous, compassionate support throughout labor and delivery, following the birth plan we’ve carefully crafted together. From comforting and encouraging you to assisting with pain management and advocating for your choices, I’m here to help create a positive and empowering birth experience for you and your baby.
It might sound crazy, but lots of women are experiencing real benefits from ingesting their own encapsulated placentas after their baby's birth.
Don't worry! If you decide to have this done by me, you won't see or taste a thing! I use flavored, colored gelatin capsules (the same size as a pain reliever pill). The pills come attractively packaged so they can sit right by your bed and no one will ever know what's in them!
I offer discounts for single moms, military families, and teenagers are free. For second time cervixes, and depending on your hospital and where you live, I offer discounts, especially if you already had a doula the first time. For my own repeaters, of course I don't charge my full fee! My fee changes constantly as I get more experience because experience is valuable. My time is also valuable.
Ideally, we should schedule a short Zoom chat or phone call first (book the initial consultation), and if that goes well, schedule an in-home interview, my home or your home (this is the birth concierge). Once you both decide to hire me, call me to let me know and then fill out my contract and send it to me with a deposit for half of my fee. The rest of my fee is due two weeks before your due date. You can decide later if you want me to encapsulate your placenta for you.
Once we know we are working together, we will schedule 2 meetings to go over your birth wishes and be sure you are ready for birth and breastfeeding. You will fill out some questionnaires for me to help me get to know you better, and we will stay in touch during your pregnancy. I ask you to call me after doctor/midwife appointments and let me know how things are going. Once we are in your due window (one week before and one week after your due date), I'll promise to stay nearby in case you need me (that's two hours away, since I need some prep time to get ready, make coffee, and to drive to your side!). Once you think you are in labor, you decide when you need me to come to your side.
